May 25, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
We had a great first planning meeting. Those in attendance were Bo Emery, Randy Johnson, Michelle Hamilton, Robyn Smith, Twyla Holmes, Stephanie Baker, Todd Kelley, Mike Dugger, Kistin Lober and David Clayton. We distributed our class list and now the search is on to find everyone. Bo gave us a tour of the new Pavilion and this will be a possible location for the reunion. Keep checking this website for pictures and information. Our next meeting will be June 22, 7 p.m again at the pavalion. We need lots of help so please get the word out and come join us!!
June 22, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
We held our 2nd planning committee meeting. Those in attendance were Twyla Jenkins, Robyn Frey, Clint Paul, Mike Dugger, David Clayton, Michelle Rivers, Randy Johnson, John Pike, Jerry Parker, and Bo Emery. We looked at budget items and decided to try to keep the cost down to $35-$50 per person. Soon, we will add PayPal to the site for those who would like to make donations to help with the initial costs including postage, printing, deposits, etc. Money will be deposited directly into a Marion Class of 86 account at Banterra Bank. We plan to post the entire class listing on the site and solicit help from everyone in locating classmates. Bo is working with the caterers to determine food expenses. We will leave the Date Survey up until Aug. 1st and will make a determination at that time. Expenses will include food, decorations, music, banquet room rental, mailings, and photography. If possible, we would still like to build a float with many of the building supplies donated or sponsored. We can build and enter a float regardless of the date of the reunion. Please continue to give us suggestions. The website is a great way to give us your input and all suggestions will be taken into consideration.
July 27, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
In attendance were Bo Emery, John Pike, David Clayton, Randy Johnson, Michelle Rivers, Twyla Jenkins, Jerry Parker and William Hopper. Fundraising ideas were the main topic of the meeting. One suggestion is to hold a raffle with the prize being a weekend getaway at Giant City Lodge including dinner, room, limo and a wine tour. Recent contributions will cover the cost. Tickets will go for $10 or 3 for $20. Also, we discussed hosting a Valentine's dinner/dance in February. We are looking into costs for providing a steak dinner at the Pavilion. We are going to check the availability of the MJH Jazz band, MHS Jazz band and the JALC jazz band for our entertainment. None of them charge anything to play. We will continue to seek out those on the missing list. We will also continue the survey throughout August for the date preference. Next meeting will be 24th at 6:30.
August 24th, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
Those who attended the planning meeting were Bo Emery, Jason Ernsting, Mike Dugger, William Hopper, Vince Riehl, Jerry Parker, Randy Johnson, Twyla Jenkins, Robyn Frey, Sherri Maddox, and Michelle Rivers. It was determined that the class reunion will be held on October 14th, 2006 which is also Homecoming weekend. We have booked the Williamson County Pavilion for the Saturday evening event. We have let the AD at MHS know that we will be participating in the homecoming festivites, including a family barbeque and tailgate before the game on October 13th. We are doing some fundraiser that require ticket sales. We are going to raffle off a wine trail tour package that includes a limo, dinner, lodging and wine tour for two. Tickets will be printed by the next meeting and will be on sale until a drawing on Feb. 1st-- in time for Valentines Day. The tickets will cost $5 or 3 for $10. We are working on other fundraising ideas and will appreciate any suggestions that you may have. We will be mailing out forms to people who have not filled out the contact form via the website. 94 people have susbcribed to the email list, 83 have filled out the contact form and we still have several on the missing list. A survey will be placed on the website and on the mailouts asking if they plan to attend the reunion. We need to get a feel for how many plan to attend to determine ticket prices. Hopefully, the fundraisers can help us keep the prices down also. The next meeting will be held at John Pikes farm on Oct. 1st.
October 1st, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
The bonfire party at Pike's was a great time! Unfortunately, we did not get much accomplished as far as planning for the reunion. It was nice to see Mike Strang, Jeff Donahue, Christy Rhodes, Suzy Karl, Travis Emery, and Ray Rehder! Most of the planning committee "regulars" were present as well. Since we did not get much planning done, we will reconvene for a meeting on October 19th at 6:30 p.m. at the Pavilion.

October 19th, 2005 Planning Meeting Minutes
Planning Committee Meeting to be held at the Williamson County Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. Raffle tickets for the wine trail package will be available for sale to raise money for the reunion. Those in attendance were Bo Emery, Randy Johnson, Kistin Krumrey, Michelle Hamilton, Mike Dugger, Twyla Jenkins, Vince Riehl, William Hopper, Jerry Parker. The meeting was short due to the Cardinals being in the playoffs. Bo took the raffle tickets to be printed and they will be ready around the first of November. The cost for the package should be around $400. 500 tickets will be printed and they will be sold for $5/each or 3 for $10. Bo is going to draft a contract that will be available at the next meeting and the deposit for the building will be paid at that time. We will also need to pay the deposit for the music and the caterer as soon as possible. We are also still looking at the idea of selling cups then providing free beer then also having an open bar. Our other choice is to just have an open bar. There are several issues that we need to iron out with the Pavilion before making that determination. We will look at the cost and determine what is best for everyone. The next meeting date has been set for Nov. 9th at 6:30 at the Pavilion.
November 16th, 2005, Planning Meeting Minutes
Those in attendance were Ray Rehder, Bo Emery, Randy Johnson, Jerry Parker, John Pike, William Hopper, Michelle Hamilton, Twyla Holmes and Robyn Smith. The ticket prices were determined to be $40 per person. We are encouraging people to pay for the tickets in advance to help us pay for upfront costs. Please send your check to anyone who is a committee member and we will see that it is deposited and your name is placed on the pre-paid list. You can also use Pay-pal which can be accessed from the Home page. We have raffle tickets for the wine trail package if anyone is interested in selling or buying them. It is a very nice package for two and includes lodging at Giant City, dinner, limo to and from up to 4 different wineries. The cost is $5 per ticket or 3 tickets for $10. We have 500 to sell. We will use the money to help offset the reunion costs and hopefully have a little left over to use for the next reunion. There will be a special rate given at the new Fairfield Inn for those who need lodging. The cost will be under $60. To reserve please mention that you are with the Marion Class of 86 Reunion. We will not meet again until after the holidays on Wed. Jan. 18th.

May 17th, 2006 Planning Meeting Minutes
Okay, enough slacking off! The next planning meeting will be held on May 17th at 6:30 at the Pavilion. We tried a meeting at Walt's but it was a little too easy to get distracted. We will prepare the reunion letters for mailout and discuss some other unfinished business. We have found quite a few of the missing and plan to see how many more we locate after the mailing goes out. At that point, we will run an ad in the MDR for those who are still on the list. All who are interested in stuffing and stamping please feel free to join us. We have less than six months and need to get back into planning mode. Summer will fly by as it always does and October will be here before we know it. See you on the 17th!
May 17th, 2006 Planning Meeting Minutes
The following attended the meeting: Randy Johnson, Mike Dugger, Kistin Krumrey, Michelle Rivers, John Pike, Bo Emery, and William Hopper. We printed, copied, folded, stuffed and stamped over 200 letters to class members. Look for your letter in the mail and let us know if you have any changes or updates. We hope that not too many will be returned and also hope that the rest of our classmates can be found soon. Please feel free to mail your checks to a committee member for the reunion tickets. There is still some planning to do and we will meet again in June to determine our next step. We need to secure a caterer and finalize plans for the decorations. Most importantly, we need to begin work on the float. Don't tell anyone from the high school that we are starting early... they only get one week to complete theirs! Next meeting will be announced.

Reunion Meeting at 6:30 at John Pike's house. John will provide meat (brats) and everyone else needs to bring a side dish. We are getting close and still have a lot of work to do. We will be discussing the menu, Friday night bar-b-q, the float and finalizing our plans for decorations. Please plan to attend if you are able. Also, check back for updates and discussions on the website. We will be sending out an invitation soon and encourage everyone to purchase their tickets as soon as possible if you have not done so already. See you on Sat!
July 29th, 2006 Planning Meeting Minutes at Pikes
Randy brought some possible menu choices from Great Boars of Fire, which is the catering service that we would like to use. We are looking at having the choice of steak or chicken. The float will be built at John Pikes house and we hope to get it started soon. Kistin is checking into the price of supplies (pomps, tarp, chicken wire, etc). We have several good ideas and need someone to draw it out. The class of 91 has asked to join us for the Friday night bar-b-q at the game. We can split the costs with them as well as the responsibilities of serving the food, clean-up, etc. Christy Nall (Webb) is in the class and is our contact person. Dugger is responsible for the bar-b-q and is going to contact Pop's Chuckwagon to determine the cost. Those who purchase tickets for the Sat. night event will also get a ticket for a plate at the bar-b-q. Otherwise, we would like to sell them for around $5.00 to the general public. We will talk to Pepsi about providing drinks and banners. Robyn has found decorations that we can purchase for $40. We will only need to purchase a few other items like marbles and bows. Pictures will be taken of everybody when they first arrive. We will have two sign-in tables and two people taking digital pics. We will also have disposable camaras on each table. All pics will be downloaded to the website after the reunion. We will also create a PowerPoint slide show that will be displayed during the reunion. Please be sure to post your favorite pics in the Memory Book so we can display them at the reunion. Please let us know if you have favorite songs that you would like to hear at the reunion. We will submit a list of song requests prior to the event. We will send out a letter soon with all of the details provided. We also encourage everyone to purchase their tickets as soon as possible so we can begin to get an idea of how many plan to attend. Next meeting date and time will be posted soon.

The tailgate for the football game will begin at 5:30 and bar-b-q will be provided for all classmates and their families. We will have more specifics on the parade in the near future. The information has to be obtained from the Marion Unit 2 staff and will be done once they are back to work. We will not be partnering with Class of 91 for the pre-game bar-b-q. Please check back regularly for updates. We will have more details on the web soon.
